In Detail
PROCESS The alkali cellulose coming from the pre-shredder falls by gravity through the inlet of the fine shredder onto the first of a set of three rollers, which rotate in the same direction.
The alkali cellulose is carried by the three rollers along the lower side of the housing to the outlet under the first roller. The splitting of alkali cellulose into single fibres takes place extremely effectively using very little energy. DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE Basically, the fine shredder consists of a housing containing three saw-tooth rollers. The housing is supported on a stand with a pedestal plate to achieve the necessary height.
Each saw-tooth roller consists of a dynamically balanced steel cylinder fitted with a saw tooth belt, which is inserted around the roller in a spiral groove. A spring rotates clockwise on the exterior roller and anticlockwise on the middle roller.
The roll pins, which are also the end walls of the rollers, are pressed into the steel cylinders and welded to them. The roll pins lie in spherical roller bearings, which are installed in lubricated bearing housings.
Vibration of the fine shredder housing is absorbed by rubber between the pedestal plate and the stand.
