FIBER OPENER
For soft opening of staple fibers.

In Detail
Staple fibers are transported from the dryer to the to the upper part of the opener by a special fan.
The necessary transportation air is then separated in an air separator (sieve basket) and the fibers are collected in the charging hopper.
A level control system is installed to prevent overfilling with fibers as well as to keep a certain amount of fibers above the feed rollers to get optimum and stable working conditions. In the middle part of the opener (feeding unit) the fibers are distributed consistently and also preopened .
In the bottom part of the opener (opening unit) the fibers are fine- opened by means of an opening tambour. The adjustable gap between the opening tambour and clamp rollers enables optimum opening conditions for various staple lengths.
Besides the unique soft opening performance, the fiber opener provides the important benefit of homogenisation of the moisture distribution of the fibers.
