In Detail

THE PROCESS
Viscose is pumped by the spin pumps through the spinnerettes. After passing the holes of the spinnerette eyes, the viscose is then coagulated in spinbath to build up a continuous filament.

The single filaments are collected to a single tow and pulled out of the spinbath by the godet rollers. The joint tow is taken up by the stretching rollers which stretch the tow and feed it into the cutting machine. The cut fibre staples can enter the fleece forming directly via the fibre flume.

THE MACHINE
The new designed ring spinneret covers over 200.000 holes and allows capacities up to 20 tons per day for one unit. The spinning machine is equipped with separate spinning boxes for each spinneret and variable single drives for spin pumps, godet rollers and stretching rollers.

This ensures the highest possible flexibility for optimised spinning parameters for producing superb quality fibre as well as a wide range of fiber products as for example the ratio of stretching is fully adjustable between and within the sets of godet rollers and stretching rollers. Each unit is fitted with its own fiber cutter, the new design of it achieves excellent cutting performance on the basis of wet-cutting, operating with the automatic and continuous grinding of knives and using one-way cutting knives.

The uniquely efficient collection of different gas streams and the consequent sealing of the spinning machine to the environment allows efficient waste gas treatment and potential for high recovery of gases including CS2 and moreover meets modern working place standards. The easy handling of the machine creates a reduction of the specific down-time and quantity of waste fiber. The modular construction allows a high degree of pre-assembling and thus short erection and start up times.
