LENZING ViscoFil was specially developed for separating fine particles and gel particles from highly viscous fluids. This minimizes fiber breaks and deviations in the fiber cross-section as well as blockages in spinnerets, and increases spinning stability.

The potential savings can be very diverse and, above all, very individual.

There is potential for savings, starting with

  • lower investment costs (compared to other systems),

  • lower operating costs thanks to fully automatic systems that require no manual intervention during operation,

  • simple and inexpensive maintenance,

  • and minimal product losses.

Thanks to its unique backwashing mechanism, the filter material is backwashed using only minimal amounts of filtered product.

An optimal combination with LENZING CakeFil, products from the AutoLine series, or LENZING OptiFil also allows the backwash medium to be almost completely recovered in many cases.

The spinning mass for hollow fiber membrane production is usually filtered using a deep-acting stainless steel fiber fleece with a fineness of 10 µm. However, depending on customer-specific process requirements, the filter fineness can be varied between 3 µm and 100 µm.
