Filtration of ore-bearing process water
Ore crushing in mining
The slurry of ground material produced during ore crushing, which is suspended in water, is usually classified so that the coarse particle fraction is returned to the crushing chamber and the suspension can be fed to the flotation process with the fine fraction after a thickening step.
The excess process water is then recirculated to the crushing stage.
Efficient classification of process water using LENZING ScrapeFil followed by ultrafine filtration using the cake building LENZING CakeFil system.

Filtration of ore-bearing process water
Advantages of using the LENZING CakeFil and AutoLine LENZING ScrapeFil systems
High separation efficiency
The high filter fineness of LENZING CakeFil, combined with the targeted separation performance of LENZING ScrapeFil, ensures optimal conditions for efficient energy use in ore crushing.
System performance
Closed system and long filter cloth service life result in high levels of automation and thus minimal manual intervention.
